Turkey Meatballs Recipe

turkey_meatballs_1
Using ground turkey to make meatballs is a great alternative to ground beef. There is no frying in the pan required for this recipe; the meatballs are fully cooked in the oven. This recipe is very easy to prepare—the ground turkey is mixed with various ingredients, rolled into balls, and then baked in the oven for about 30 minutes. These meatballs get most of their flavor from ingredients such as garlic, salt, pepper and oregano. When the meatballs were finished cooking, they were extremely moist and tender. You can serve these turkey meatballs with a spaghetti sauce or if you would prefer a sauce is not required; you could serve them with a salad. Enjoy.

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Lightly spray the foil with cooking spray. In a large bowl combine ground turkey, garlic, onion, parsley, salt, pepper, oregano, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix together well using your hands. Shape the mixture into about 30 meatballs that are approximately 1 inch across. Lay each meatball on a baking sheet so that they are not touching.
Step 2: Place into the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until the meatballs are fully cooked (the internal temperature has reached 165 degrees).
(Makes 6 Servings)
